This catalog was published to accompany the exhibition Zhao Zhao: Constellations at Art Basel Hong Kong, 2013. Executed at a shooting range outside Beijing, Zhao Zhao aimed a rifle at sheets of reinforced glass, creating irregular patterns of bullet holes and cracks that resemble the astronomical phenomena referred to in the title. An essay by John Tancock explores the historical antecedents of Zhao Zhao’s ensemble of works. Text in English and Chinese.
