This catalog was published to accompany the exhibition Song Hongquan: Units at Chambers Fine Art, Beijing. It documents a series of sculptures executed between 2010 and 2013 inspired by the forms of seeds. Although botanically accurate, the enlarged forms of the seeds show affinity with the biomorphic tradition of sculpture which was so important in the history of 20th century sculpture in the West.
