This catalog was published in conjunction with the exhibition Multiple Perspectives: New Works by Xiaoze Xie. The exhibition traces the development in Xie’s work from the ongoing series of Chinese Library paintings based on the contents of traditional Chinese libraries to new series of works based on international newspapers (Both Sides Now) and Weibo (the Chinese equivalent of Twitter). An essay by John Tancock Multiple Perspectives analyzes Xie’s changing attitude to the presentation of historical and current events in his paintings. Text in English and Chinese.
