Egami Etsu’s solo exhibition, Rainbow, is on view from April 24 to May 30, 2021, at Karuizawa New Art Museum. This exhibition marks Etsu's second large exhibition in Japan with her new 34 works produced in 2020.
The Karuizawa New Art Museum reframes Japanese artwork into a global conversation on artistic innovation. In this exhibition, Etsu’s portrait paintings hint at broader narratives — seemingly connecting with glitch, an interference of computer data — yet they are abstract and frequently contain a disparate and overlapping form.
